Awit at Laro is a movement led by Bambi Mañosa and Gary Valenciano that aims to sustain the appreciation for traditional music and games of Filipino childhood. To put the “awit” in Awit at Laro, songs were re-recorded and compiled into a book of the same name.
Bahay kubo (nipa hut), an icon of Filipino culture, is also the title of a popular folk song. For the book launch, Dialogo designed and illustrated a bahay kubo structure, complete with all the vegetables mentioned in the lyrics.
The structure is made of Re-board which is light, sturdy, reusable, and environment-friendly. The design and material allow for the easy construction, deconstruction, and portability of the bahay kubo.
